Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Mental Health UnitUnityPoint Health - AllenShift: PRN as neededA C.O.T.A is responsible under the supervision of a Occupational Therapist for conducting the Occupational Therapy program in accordance with a physician order. To evaluate and conduct the program focused on promoting mental health and well-being in all clients. To restore, maintain and improve the function and quality of life for people at risk or affected by mental illness through the use of specific group and individual treatment approaches. This would include, but is not limited to: responding to email, voice mail and maintains accurate and timely documentation of clinical records.Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree in occupational therapyCertification by NBCOTCurrent license in the state of IowaPreferred Qualifications:All MHU positions require MOAB and BLS upon hire1 year work experience in a related fieldExperience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
