Job Description

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is looking for a Clinical Interface Engineer to join our IT department!Under the direction of the Vice President of Information Technology, this position serves as the primary point of contact, subject matter expert, systems analyst, and project coordinator for all Copley Hospital clinical and operational interfaces. You will work directly with our internal clients and vendors to install our interface engine, build interfaces and work-flows, and troubleshoot complicated system issues. You will also perform complex data migration and conversion projects including scripting automated reports and processes. The ability to investigate and troubleshoot work-flows and processes across departments will be critical to your success. Time management, problem solving and excellent communication skills will be key in meeting project expectations.This is a Full-Time position (PT available).Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available acrossFull-Time, Part-Time, and Temporaryneeds. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.Analyze, coordinate, develop, test, andmaintainclinical and operationalsystems exchanging data via HL7, DICOM, and other interface protocols.Support proprietary and industry standard interfaces between clinical equipment, servers, software and outside entities.Provide support for electronic medical records systeminterfaces including configuration and troubleshooting.Provide education to staff embers regarding process changes andwork-flow modifications related to interface installations and upgrades.Provide electronic medical records system training to individuals and/or groups in formal or informal settings.Communicate changes or new initiatives and key issues to supervisors, physicians, and staff.Assume special projects as directed and document them appropriately.Attend meetings and seminars as directed.Provide after hours on-call and help deskcoverage in accordance with department rotation.Provide support for all clinicaland businessapplications as well as network, server and user hardware.Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Information Technology or the Development Manager.Experience Requirements:Minimum two years clinical interface engineering experience and two years with a healthcare clientor a healthcare related environment.Complex project management experience desired.License Requirements:NoneCertification Desired:CorePoint, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, or Mirth.Skill Requirements:In depth knowledge of EMRs. Experience administering interfaces. Experience with database and programming languages.Skills Desired:Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with staff at various levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail.Impeccable time management.
