SENIOR REVENUE ACCOUNTANT Raleigh, NC Pay Rate $65 - $90/HR Jefferson Wells has an immediate need for a Senior Revenue Accountant for a client in Raleigh-Durham. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that places high value on culture and growth. The Senior Revenue Accountant opening is a contract engagement with the possibility of converting to permanent employment with our client. SUMMARY Spearhead revenue recognition compliance and process improvements through cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES u2022 Prepare month-end and quarter-end analytical and flux analyses to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Research and analyze complex revenue recognition issues and prepare financial analyses and memos to support business decisions. + Review customer contracts for revenue recognition, establishing and maintaining billing schedules, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables in accordance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15. u2022 Assist in the month-end close by validating orders and quotes, preparing journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations, and roll-forwards using NetSuite and Salesforce. u2022 Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Sales, and other teams to enhance processes, support business integrations, and improve revenue accounting practices. u2022 Ensure proper application and collection of sales and use tax in customer contracts. u2022 Support external auditors during annual financial statement audits and recommend improvements to existing practices. u2022 Perform ad hoc analyses and manage special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS MUST HAVE u2022 3-4 years of experience at a Big Four or national public accounting firm, or 4+ years combined public accounting and industry experience in revenue technical accounting. u2022 Proven experience with ASC 606 or IFRS 15 and technical research in accounting. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities with proactive communication and a detail-oriented, creative, problem-solving approach. u2022 Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, index/match, sum-ifs, pivot tables, subtotals, etc.). QUALIFICATIONS NICE TO HAVE u2022 Experience with NetSuite ERP and Salesforce. u2022 Advanced technical and operational knowledge in areas such as Clinical Research Organizations, measure of progress revenue recognition, data licensing, and/or SaaS revenue recognition.
