As anAutomated Equipment Mechanic, you will have the following responsibilities: u2022 AEM skilled trade to provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install, and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pneumatics, hydraulics, controls (PLCu2019s), and electrical components) u2022 Ability to fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment u2022 Some experience or expertise in piping, HVAC equipment and controls u2022 Ability to achieve a high level of expertise of chemical process equipment for effective troubleshooting and equipment repair u2022 Execute preventive maintenance program u2022 Calibrate, alignment and make adjustments with test equipment and production equipment u2022 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools Qualifications include: u2022 HS diploma u2022 Formal instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and/or AEM training and demonstrated experience u2022 Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment u2022 Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills u2022 Able to read electrical, instrument and machine drawings u2022 Able to read PLC programs to troubleshoot equipment problems u2022 Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision u2022 Excellent safety record u2013 places safety and environment as top priority in all work u2022 Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out u2022 Understanding of electrical codes for hazardous environments (flammable liquids) u2022 Good communication skills u2013 daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed u2022 Good team player u2013 willing be flexible, work in other areas and with other trades as needed Minimum Education Level and Experience: 2-year schooling and/or 5 plus years of demonstrated experience Work Schedule: u2022 Work schedule will be days initially and during shutdowns u2022 Rotating Shift: 5-week rotations 4 times per year. Two, 12-hour days followed by two 12-hour nights, then 4 days off.
