Crane Operator C - Westwego, LA This is a full-time, hourly level position. Position Summary: ADM is seeking a qualified candidate to work as a crane operator on a mid-stream stevedoring rig based out of our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) in Waggaman, LA. Job Responsibilities: Operate crane in midstream stevedoring operations discharging various cargos by bucket/hook Inspection of crane, associated equipment and applicable rigging necessary for safe and productive operation Lead and train stevedore personnel in operations and care of stevedoring production assets Oversee crane/rig insuring that care, housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance is maintained to Company standards Coordinate with shift lead and rig crews to accomplish safe and productive crane operations Complete a variety of required forms electronically and on paper Lead rig personnel in completing required training and documentation Additional duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management Job Requirements: Previous experience operating cranes in a stevedoring environment ADM approved crane operator certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days Ability to follow direction and execute tasks under the supervision of the Shift Lead or operations management Ability to execute and assist with inspection and maintenance of crane and associated components, including but not limited to general maintenance, cable changes, lubricants, and bucket maintenance Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents Computer skills sufficient to safely and productively operate crane and complete a variety of reports and documents Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the rig or vessels. Working extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays also required Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team Must be able to work in all types of climates Must have reliable transportation to and from work Promote the ADM Way and core Values Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures Physical Requirements: Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and Company human performance exam (physical ability test) Standing for prolonged periods of time Frequent heavy lifting Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending and climbing stairs/ladders Ability to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights and in confined spaces ADM requires the successful completion ofabackground check.
