A strong background in Florida DOT design policies and procedures is preferred. The candidate will work in a fast-paced engineering environment where projects may be derived from a number of delivery methods including conventional publicly bid projects and design build. Over the last two decades, WGI has delivered a variety of transportation projects including some of the largest and most complex interstate projects in the state of Florida. As a firm, we continue to grow and look forward to the opportunity to add engineers who are eager to work on exciting projects and grow professionally, themselves.#LI-OnsiteConduct hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling.Oversee/produce engineering designs including project research, storm sewer layouts, storm-water management designs, plans preparation and detail designsOversee the creation of engineering documents including permit packages and design documentation reportsPerform advanced Microstation/GEOPAK/ASAD processesCoordinate plans, calculations and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teamsPerform internal Quality Control to ensure designs, plans and calculations are complete and accurateAssist Project Manager in a variety of project administrative dutiesParticipate in business development activities, assisting in the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentationsServe as the Engineer of Record for projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements.Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and support for professional development.Act as a client-facing representative, managing relationships and serving as the primary point of contactBachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year collegeFlorida Professional Engineering RegistrationProficiency in advanced Microstation/GEOPAK processes3D modeling a plusExperience with ICPR/Stormwise and /or SWMM, ASAD, and HEC-RASStrong knowledge of FDOT plans preparation criteria and design standardsExperience with FDOT preferredKnowledge of and ability to coordinate with other transportation disciplines and abilityStrong work ethic and ability to organize and manage small to medium sized engineering design teamsExcellent verbal communication and technical writing skillsAbility to train and mentor entry level staffOversight and managing staffApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
