This position plans, coordinates and monitors the production work in the Fabric building. Our Jefferson, Iowa facility has been in operation and supporting our local community since 1954. Set up machines and equipment, perform production work, assure quality of finished product in the department. Report machine and equipment malfunctions to Supervisor and maintenance personnel. May perform minor maintenance.Enter finished goods into the ROI system. Verify work order changes, and update books for the cut table. Collaborate with Engineering to verify Autocut files are correct and ready to be entered into the system. Assist with cycle counts. Perform yearly inventory.Train new employees on safety procedures, blueprints, work orders, and other documents. Serve as main contact and direct work in the Supervisor’s absence.Plan and assure all materials are available for each job based on set production schedule. Confirm inventory of raw goods and order product when needed. Assist Supervisor in reviewing production schedules and estimating work hour requirements for job assignments; adjust as needed.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product to the Supervisor.High School diploma or equivalent; one-year certificate from college or technical school preferredGood verbal communication skills - ability to effectively communicate to small groupsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide various units of measure to include fractions, decimals, and whole numbersGood computer skills - simple spreadsheets, word processing and mainframe computer understandingThree to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.We offer the following:Competitive PayMedical, dental, vision, life & disability insuranceVacationPaid holidays401(k)Employee Assistance Program
