Technician, HVAC

Installs, services, and repairs heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems utilizing knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout. Checks and services all HVAC/R machinery and kitchen equipment to ensure proper function and efficiency.HVAC/R, installing and troubleshooting repairing, rebuilding commercial HVAC equipment and refrigeration systems.Clean, adjust, repair at a level of advanced Tech under the supervision of supervisory staff.Understanding of advanced principles of freon, refrigeration and heating concepts.Maintaining, repairing, and trouble shooting electrical systems and controls up to 480 volt/AC, including motors, controls, magnetic starters, variable frequency drives, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and DDC components.Intent to advance to a higher level through continuing education in the field of HVAC/R.Maintains, adjust and makes minor repairs to escalator and elevator systems.Keeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.Has a working knowledge of boiler systems.Opens valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers to prepare system for operation and starts equipment and auxiliary machinery.Observes temperature, pressure and ampere readings for system and equipment and adjusts controls or overrides automatic controls to obtain specified operation of equipment.Records temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheet at specified intervals.Measure density of brine and adds calcium chloride to lower temperature to specified degree.Connects hose from supply tank to compressor to replace coolant.Makes periodic inspection of equipment and systems to observe operating condition and need for repair and adjustment.Adjusts controls to isolate and clear broken lines for repair or shut down equipment.Repacks pumps and compressors, cleans condensers, and replaces worn or defective parts.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEThree to five year journey level experience in all phases of HVAC/R work, including elevator and escalator exposure with minimal maintenance ability on these systems. May substitute two years college for experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSAble to obtain & maintain a Jackson Rancheria Gaming LicenseClass C driver license required - Must be vehicle insurable through Jackson Rancheria’s AgentProfessional license an added plus in consideration of position.Possession of a universal Freon recovery license required.Pay range: $28.00 - $36.40 per hour*Shift Differential:Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.This is not a smoke free work place.Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is present in the work environment.
