A Brief Overview The Audit Officer performs and/or assists in internal audits for the Corporation within the Banku2019s established dates, guidelines, and applicable regulations. What Youu2019ll Need to Succeed u00b7 Complete audit procedures assigned according to established audit objectives, scope, and time budget. u00b7 Prepare working papers for audit assignments. u00b7 Guarantee the completeness and correctness of all working papers to support exceptions noted and recommendations. u00b7 Document exceptions noted during the audit according to established procedures and discuss them with audited area. u00b7 Discuss and dispose of all review points from the Audit Supervisor, Assistant General Auditor and/or General Auditor. u00b7 Assist in the preparation of the internal audit report drafts and summarize all audits observations and recommendations. u00b7 Perform other routine assignments designated by the Assistant General Auditor, Audit Supervisor and/or General Auditor. u00b7 Lead audits assigned by the Assistant General Auditor, Audit Supervisor and/or General Auditor. u00b7 Monitor Audit Officers tasks during the audit process. u00b7 Monitor that all management responses are obtained during the audit process. u00b7 Analyze audit programs for conformity with Corporationu2019s policy and regulatory requirements and submit revisions when appropriate. u00b7 Monitor that all audit review points are properly cleared before issuance of the final audit report. u00b7 Write reports and communicate results to appropriate members of management. Competencies u00b7 Basic audit techniques knowledge. u00b7 Banking industry and regulations acquaintance. u00b7 Knowledge of banking regulations and standards. u00b7 Strong analytic thinking capacity. u00b7 Proficiency in oral and written communications in both English and Spanish. u00b7 Committed to accuracy. u00b7 Strong interpersonal communication skills. u00b7 Able to work in a dynamic working environment with multiple groups. u00b7 Proficient in Microsoft Office. What Youu2019ll Need A bacheloru2019s degree in business administration or other business-related fields is required for this position. The incumbent must have at least one (1) year of experience in a similar position in the Banking industry as well as working experience with applicable industry regulations. Highly Recommended Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
