The Nightingale-Bamford School seeks an experienced and innovative educator to join our Math Department and Middle School Division for the 2025-2026 academic year.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of and passion for teaching young adolescents. They should be well-versed in a range of pedagogical approaches, including but not limited to inquiry-based and project-based learning. Candidates must be eager to collaborate closely with colleagues to design and implement an engaging and rigorous curriculum. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to inclusive teaching practices, ongoing professional development, and active participation in the life of the school community.All faculty are expected to:Uphold and model the school's values of equity, inclusion, and belonging Contribute meaningfully to community life beyond the classroom Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and divisionsThis position reports to the Math Department Chairs and the Head of Middle School.This is a full time, exempt, 10-month position starting August 25, 2025.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education or MathematicsAt least three years or more of middle school teaching experienceExperience in differentiating instruction involving reinforcing and extending skills for studentsUnderstanding or growing knowledge of competency-based teaching and learningMust be highly analytical and possess a strong attention to detailEffective communication skills, both orally and written; an ability to communicate complex issues, as well as to maintain open communication channels with relevant stakeholdersAbility to set and execute goals that align with the strategic vision of the department The successful candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative, strategic, professional and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
