The network includes more than 30 ambulatory clinics featuring primary care, Express Clinics, and imaging and diagnostic services.JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSEEducates and trains patient escort staff to ensure competency and/or dispatching for the department; must ensure thatequipment is operational, safe and functioning according to hospital standards; will maintain quality assurance monitorsto evaluate the quality of service provided to patients, communicate effectively with management and take on aleadership role.ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESBecome familiar and utilize the Bed Central system and back"up process for coordinating patient transports anddischarges.Must be able to assist and transport patients during staff shortages.Assign trips to patient escort pagers through Bed Central.Answer a busy phone while maintaining an error tracking log.Maintain a steady flow of communication between the Transportation staff, Supervisors, Unit Secretaries and NurseManagers.Report any conflicts immediately to the supervisor/manager.Performs other duties when requested.Required Licensure and CertificationsHigh School Diploma/GED BLS- AHARequired Minimum Skills, Abilities and TrainingGood written/oral communication skills
