The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with deep expertise in Executive Lines products, a strong understanding of commercial insurance operations, and a passion for driving operational excellence and innovation. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring our operational infrastructure not only supports but accelerates underwriting performance and business growth. Preference is for someone to be in the NJ/NY area, but can be fully remote.What you will do for C&F:Team Leadership:Lead and manage a team of approximately 12 professionals with varying levels of experience, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration.Operational Excellence:Oversee underwriting assistants and operational support across all Executive Lines products, ensuring the team is a value-adding resource.Process Optimization:Assess current workflows and tools, implement improvements to promote speed, accuracy, and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Strategic Partnership:Serve as the operational point of contact for underwriters and senior leadership, anticipating needs and driving proactive solutions.Data-Driven Decision Making:Oversee operational performance metrics, analyze trends, and develop action plans to address gaps; leverage technology and data analytics to streamline workflows and improve decision-making.Compliance & Quality:Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.Digital Transformation:Support and champion digital transformation initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies and agile principles (daily stand-ups, monthly retrospectives, guild participation).Training & Development:Design and implement training and upskilling programs to elevate team capabilities, address skill gaps, and prepare for evolving business needs.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner closely with underwriting, IT, product, and data teams to streamline systems, eliminate redundancies, and enhance reporting and tracking.Resource Management:Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to maximize operational efficiency.Strategic Insight:Bring data-driven, experience-informed recommendations to operational meetings and align operational strategies with organizational goals.What you will bring to C&F:Bachelor’s degree; RPLU a plus5+ years of experience in operations management within commercial insurance, with a strong preference for executive or financial linesExperience with operational tools, workflows, and technology platforms used in commercial insuranceStrong knowledge of Executive Lines products such as D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, and E&O, as well as underwriting and claims processesExperience designing and implementing training and upskilling programsProficiency in leveraging technology and data analytics to drive operational improvementsProven experience in insurance operations, ideally within executive or financial linesStrong leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teamsProactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the confidence to make independent decisions and challenge the status quoStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsDetail-oriented with a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvementAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing prioritiesPassion for innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvementAbility to travel, as neededHighly motivated with a positive, outgoing personalityEntrepreneurial spirit and service mentalityResourceful, passionate, and technology-forward thinkerComfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentCompetitive compensation packageGenerous 401K employer matchEmployee Stock Purchase plan with employer matchingGenerous Paid Time OffExcellent benefits that go beyond health, dental & vision. Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $91,000.00 to a maximum of $171,100.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
