Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a deep understanding of Azure infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), PowerShell scripting, network security, and RStudio. As a Senior Azure Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Azure cloud infrastructure to support our growing needs, with a particular focus on Azure networking, Azure Virtual Desktop, Kubernetes, business continuity and disaster recovery, Azure data services, Azure AI and Azure DevOps. u00b7 Design and implement secure, highly available, and scalable Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Virtual Desktop environments for remote work scenarios. u00b7 Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates or Azure Bicep to manage cloud resources efficiently. u00b7 Write and debug complex PowerShell scripts to automate cloud operations and deployment processes. u00b7 Ensure network security best practices are implemented and maintained across all Azure services, including Kubernetes clusters. u00b7 Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate RStudio within the Azure environment for advanced analytics. u00b7 Lead the design and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery strategies within Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss. u00b7 Manage and optimize Azure data services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics, to support data-driven decision-making. u00b7 Implement and oversee Azure DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment strategies. u00b7 Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on Azure best practices and technical challenges. u00b7 Conduct system performance analysis and optimization to ensure efficient operations. u00b7 Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features and services, evaluating their potential impact on the organization's infrastructure. u00b7 Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Azure services with existing systems. u00b7 Provide technical leadership in the planning and execution of cloud migration projects, including containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes. u00b7 Leverage Azure AI capabilities, including Azure Cognitive Services and Azure Machine Learning, to design intelligent cloud-native solutions and support advanced data science workflows. u00b7 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. u00b7 At least 10 years of experience in a cloud architecture role, with a focus on Azure infrastructure. u00b7 Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools. u00b7 Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation. u00b7 In-depth knowledge of network security principles and their application in a cloud environment. u00b7 Experience with RStudio and its integration with Azure for data analysis and visualization. u00b7 Experience with Azure AI services, including Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, or custom AI model deployment in Azure. u00b7 Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Kubernetes, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, Azure data services, and Azure DevOps. u00b7 Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are highly desirable. u00b7 Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. u00b7 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Cytel Inc. is an Equal Employment / Affirmative Action Employer.
