Sr. Cost Accountant

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Accounting, this Senior Cost Accountant position will be an instrumental member of the finance project team for the Oracle Fusion implementation. The responsibilities of this role will change over time, so we are looking for an experienced team member who is agile and open to adjust responsibilities through the different stages of the system implementation project.Initially this role will support the ERP implementation byCalculating labor and overhead cost rates.Understanding processes in the new systemTesting module configurationsSupporting process documentationCollaborating cross functionally to understand impacts of process changes across the organizationDeveloping Manufacturing Plant ReportingBeing a change management champion Other Ad hoc responsibilities and reporting as assignedAt and after implementation, this role will be responsible for Being a Super User within Oracle FusionCost Accounting requirements, including calculating cost rates for Labor and OverheadValidating that costing processes are functioning as expected in the new systemGenerating plant financial reporting and provide variance analysis and KPI reporting, collaborating with cross functional manufacturing teams to understand and analyze results, and to identify and implement improvement opportunities Other Ad hoc responsibilities and reporting as assignedUndergraduate Accounting or related degree 5 years’ experience in progressive Cost Accounting responsibilities including Variance Analysis and KPI reportingExperience in Manufacturing environmentsExperience leading cross functional communication, including Senior LeadershipDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:CMA or CPA CertificationMaster's Degree8 years of experienceExperience with ERP system implementations, experience with Oracle Fusion a plusRain Bird is an equal opportunity employer#LI-TT1
