Runner

OverviewThe Runner will perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by their supervisors. Responsible for producing high quality work, safely and productively at all times, and providing feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information is available for the work. The Runner is required to maintain a good driving record at all times. Looks for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work, and is willing to learn from others. Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and also learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment. Candidate must be dependable and possess the ability to multi-task.Responsibilities *The following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.Transport materials, equipment, or tools to and from job sites/facility in a safe mannerMaintain good housekeeping of site, tools, and equipment Work closely with supervision to ensure all tasks are completed in a safe mannerAssist crew with other related duties as assignedQualificationsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legsHand/eye coordinationMust be able to communicate (hear, comprehend, and speak) to safely perform workWill need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy workMay operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, and pneumatic) of all typesClimb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basisPosition may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing /pulling, or standing and liftingMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.May be required to work in confined spacesWill be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.)Ability to drive cars, trucks, forklifts and other equipment as neededMentalMust have the ability to communicate effectively with management/ supervisionAbility to speak clearly, read, write, and comprehendWork at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractionsDecision making skills necessaryDetail-oriented; must be able to remember, examine, and observe details
