At Tighe & Bond, you’ll find an engaging, hybrid work environment, a culture of collaboration, and the resources to support your professional growth and development.Our Land Use Team and ProjectsNearly 120 professional engineers strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients."¯We assist clients from the initial conceptual stages of a project through schematic design, design development, permitting, construction documents, bidding, and construction oversight."¯Well versed in local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements, as well as ever evolving climate change impacts and concerns, we strive to incorporate sustainability and resiliency into our site plans and designs.What You’ll Be DoingAs a valuable part of ourLand Use Business Line, a Site Civil Project Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, manage engineering design tasks, and ensure that projects are completed efficientlywith responsibilities such as:Manage and execute engineering design tasks for civil/site development projects, including land development, energy, transportation, coastal, utility, and infrastructure projects for public and private clientsPrepare detailed technical specifications, cost estimates, and project reports to support project planning and executionConduct construction observation and contractor supervision to ensure project quality and compliance with design specificationsPerform stormwater analysis, hydrologic modeling, and site grading using engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or equivalent)Participate in client meetings, present project findings, and provide technical guidance to stakeholders, including municipal and regulatory agenciesReview shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation to ensure consistency with project requirements and industry standardsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and solutions-oriented work environmentEnsure that all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including land development regulations and municipal engineering standardsEffectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentWhat You’ll NeedBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering5-8 years of experience in civil/site design, land development, or infrastructure designProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts or ability to obtain within one yearProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD (or equivalent)Strong understanding of land development regulations and municipal engineering standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiencesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlinesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving project requirementsPreferred RequirementsMaster’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldExperience in all phases of design and construction, including permitting, technical report preparation, and site inspectionExperience in sustainable design practices, including stormwater management and erosion controlAdvanced proficiency in hydrologic modeling software and stormwater analysisExperience with public infrastructure projects, including utilities and roadway designFamiliarity with GIS software and data analysis for site planning and environmental assessmentsProven ability to mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellenceExperience preparing proposals, bids, and project budgets for municipal and private clientsYour Financial and Wellness BenefitsCompensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range belowAnnual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership PlanBest in Class Medical InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceWellness Rewards and ReimbursementsTuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown ContributionsReimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and FeesSummer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work EnvironmentPet Insurance and Adoption AssistanceWays to Grow Your CareerWe provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
