As aSenior Project Manager, you will join our One Water Business Line in ourRhinebeck, NYoffice, where you’ll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Working with industry experts, you’ll tackle complex challenges that strengthen community resilience and advance environmental sustainability. We partner with private, state, and local government clients to enhance drinking water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring reliable and sustainable systems for communities. As part of our team, you’ll help plan, design, and administer the construction of new and upgraded conveyance systems, treatment plants, and pump stations. You’ll support clients with capital improvement planning, hydraulic modeling, and asset management programs. Our work also includes Long-Term CSO Control Plans, Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plans, Integrated Water Resource Management Plans, and Sewer System Evaluation Studies—driving smarter, more resilient water solutions.What You’ll Be DoingAs a valuable part of ourWater Business Line, aSenior Project Manager will play a vital role in driving the success of drinking water or wastewater projects throughout the Northeast with responsibilities such as:Collaborate with a team of experts to plan, design, and administer the construction of water or wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systemsServe as a primary client contact, manage relationships with private, state, and local government clients to promote successful project outcomesLead business development efforts, including responding to RFPs, develop proposals, presentations, and shape project approaches, scopes, and fees, including risk identification/managementOversee the entire project lifecycle, while adhering to budgets, schedules, and regulatory requirementsProvide technical leadership, conducting quality control reviews, and mentor project managers and junior staffContribute to the strategic growth of the One Water Team and expand Tighe & Bond’s presence in the water and wastewater sectorActively engage in industry organizations, represent Tighe & Bond through committee leadership, conference presentations, publications, and professional involvementWhat You’ll NeedBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldSubstantial experience in consulting engineering within the water or wastewater industry, with increasing responsibilityLicensure as a Professional EngineerProven experience in successful project management, including leading teams, managing budgets and schedules, and coordinating with clients and regulatory agenciesStrong written and verbal communication and presentation skillsLeadership ability with a passion for team building, mentoring, and developing staffSelf-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to problem-solvingPreferred RequirementsMaster’s degree in a relevant fieldAdditional experience in business development, proposal writing, and strategic planningFamiliarity with New England and New York water or wastewater regulations, permitting processes, and funding opportunitiesUnderstanding of Revit use on multidisciplinary water and wastewater infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with alternative project delivery methods (e.g., design-build, progressive design-build, and construction manager at risk)Additional licensure in multiple states to support diverse project needsYour Financial and Wellness BenefitsCompensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range belowAnnual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership PlanBest in Class Medical InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceWellness Rewards and ReimbursementsTuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown ContributionsReimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and FeesSummer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work EnvironmentPet Insurance and Adoption AssistanceWays to Grow Your CareerWe provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
