Other duties may be assigned.Performs all functions as permitted by the Dental Board of California for a Registered Dental HygienistPerforms ancillary functions of dental assisting, as needed, including but not limited to:"¯"¯ -Assists the doctor in procedures as needed"¯"¯ -Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays"¯"¯ -Prophy’s teeth"¯"¯ -Instructs patients on oral hygiene"¯"¯ -Charts cavities and teeth with the doctor"¯"¯ -Sterilizes instrumentsEducation and/or Experience:Certification for a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred"¯"¯Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Active NM Dental Hygiene License Current BLS certification
