Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Pipe Layers for projects located in Winfield, MO. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $48/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Pipe Layer eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope: Assembling and connecting pipe systems for water mains sewers and drainsSet up and operate pipe laser to maintain proper alignment and gradeGrade trench bottoms manually or using compact equipment Install and connect various types of ground pipe RCP, PVC, DIPUnderstand and assist with pipe pressure and deflection testing procedures Backfill trenches in accordance with specifications and compaction standardsInstall erosion control measures such as silt fence and inlet protection Operate small equipment such as compactors trench rollers and skid steersFollow safety protocols and communicate effectively with crew membersKnowledge of pipe laying techniques, materials and installation methodsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Proficiency with hand and power toolsAbility to perform manual labor lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions Precision in measurements, cuts and joint assembly to ensure proper pipe installation Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the installation processEffective verbal communication for coordinating with team members and following instructionsStrong understanding of safety regulations and practices related to excavation trenching and equipment operationHigh School Diploma or GEDMust have basic tools and standard PPEMust be able to pass a background checkTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
