If your answer is yes, FirstBank is the number one place for you.A Brief OverviewThe Senior Assistant General Auditor oversees multiple Internal Audit Teams within the areas of expertise assigned. Assigns and enforces the Annual Audit Plan within the unit staff, monitoring its completion and compliance with target dates, Bank's policies and applicable regulations. Leads the execution of the individual audit reviews and other audit activities included in the risk-based Internal Audit Plan, overseeing the work performed by the audit staff. Ensures audits are performed in a timely manner, ensuring all audit quality and client relation standards are met, and courteous and professional behavior is observed in all situations.What Youu2019ll Need to Succeedu2022u00b7 Leads the annual risk assessment exercise in the area under its responsibility. Consolidates the Annual Audit plan and staffing plan for areas assigned, and provides to General Auditor for review.u2022u00b7 Ensures high-quality, error free and timely audit reports, recommendations and ratings. Ensures timely completion of the approved audit plan for areas assigned.u2022u00b7 Assists in designing and executing the strategy for the internal audit.u2022u00b7 Ensures the effective progress of the established audit plan for the areas assigned and provides periodic status to the General Auditor. Identifies and remediates issues and roadblocks to successful completion of audit activities. Develops strategies to address deviations in order to ensure timely completion of the plan.u2022u00b7 Reviews and approves the planning of specific audits with the Assistant General Auditor, Audit Supervisor and Audit Officer, including risk assessment, planning memoranda and engagement procedures.u2022u00b7 Reviews and approves the audit programs for specific audits to ensure scope is appropriate considering corporate risks and ensures that the designated budget is appropriate for the determined scope.u2022u00b7 Conducts On Going monitoring of the governance and risk structure to recommend necessary adjustments to the plan.u2022u00b7 Leads continuous monitoring and advisory activities, special reviews and investigations.u2022u00b7 Provides leadership to the internal audit teams assigned and directs the internal audit program in the areas under its responsibility.u2022u00b7 Provides guidance on the use of business systems, applications, and/or audit tools to create queries and ad hoc reports. Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data collected from multiple sources to ensure valid conclusions are drawn.u2022u00b7 Assists in the preparation of departmentu2019s monthly or other periodic reports to Senior Management, Audit Committee and BOD.Other Responsibilitiesu2022u00b7 Coordinates assistance to external auditors during the annual integrated audit.Supervisory Responsibilitiesu00b7 YesMinimum Requirements Youu2019ll Need: u00b7 Minimum of 6 to 8 years of recent experience in audit, finance, insurance, banking, compliance, information technology or related business. u00b7 Proven knowledge and understanding in regulatory banking industry and regulations experience including FDIC, CFPB and OCIFu00b7 Applied knowledge and understanding of regulatory matters within the banking industry (e.g., BSA/AML/OFAC, fair lending, consumer protection, etcu00b7 Licenses and certifications required: CPA, CIA, CAMSu00b7 Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) with excellent verbal and written communication skillsu00b7 Analytical & Critical Thinking: outstanding problem identification and solving skills with excellent critical thinking capabilitiesu00b7 Business acumen: knowledgeable of the banking industry key business drivers, while being able to connect with stakeholders to gain a full understanding of the problems in need of solutions.u00b7 Inquisitiveness: self-directed and self-motivated with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage multiple tasks and priority management.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
