The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of St. Thomas is seeking a candidate for a tenure-track position in Clinical/Counseling Psychology beginning Fall 2026. Teaching responsibilities include:Teaching 5-6 courses, depending on lab load, per academic year, delivered both in-person and onlineCourses are at the undergraduate level and may include introductory psychology, psychopathology, testing and assessment, counseling and psychotherapy, or personality theories, depending on candidate expertise.We also encourage applicants who can develop new courses that will strengthen curricular emphasis on cultural diversity in the clinical/counseling areaIn addition to teaching, faculty responsibilities include:Student advising and research mentoring,maintaining an active scholarship agenda,providing service to the department and/or university,working with department colleagues to continually strengthen and advance the program.About the Department of PsychologyThe Psychology department seeks to attract, retain, and develop faculty from all backgrounds to enhance the diversity of our learning community and to offer students richly varied perspectives. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.A doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology; U.S. or foreign equivalent) from an APA-accredited program and completion of internship required, or alternatively, ABD nearing completion (with appointment at the rank of instructor) will be considered.
