Education Requirements:Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you’ll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle.What you’ll experience:Technologies that aren’t just top-notch, they’re often top-secretA team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what’s nextOpportunities to gain new knowledge - as it’s discoveredWhat you bring to the table:A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experienceProficient knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languagesOpenly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutionsParticipates in the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedule, budget and equipment required for testing and evaluating new systems, products and special devicesExecutes the test approach and documents system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycleGenerate system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and toolsPrepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new productsDevelops and conducts functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systemsAssists with the design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturingIsolates and documents issues and defectsSupports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycleResearches and analyzes data, such as customer design proposals, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or applicationKeeps abreast of technology trendsWhat sets you apart:Proficient use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories related to RF and GPS/Navigation SystemsContributes to the development of new theories and methods related to RF and GPS/Navigation SystemsProficient knowledge and experience with SAFE Agile processProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsProficient written and verbal communications skillsAbility to think creativelyGood at multi-taskingSkilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actionsProficient ability to clearly report information relevant to sound test engineeringTeam player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitmentsProficient ability to promote concepts and ideas to a diverse audienceThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
