Works closely and serves as a communication liaison with all departments that provide telemetry monitoring. Responsible for the departmental processes that support accurate record keeping, observation of telemetry monitors, and prompt identification and escalation of cardiac rhythm changes to appropriate nursing personnel. May perform the duties of a Monitor Technician as needed. In the absence of the manager, may assume 24-hour responsibility for the department.REQUIRED LPN/PARAMEDIC/EMTHigh School Diploma or GED2 years of experience BLSDemonstrated leadership capabilities.Medical TerminologyDemonstrated competency in EKG/arrhythmia interpretationCertified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) or Certified Cardiac Technician (CCT) within 6 months of employmentMONITOR TECHNICIANHigh School Diploma or GED5 years of experience Demonstrated leadership capabilities.BLSMedical TerminologyDemonstrated competency in EKG/arrhythmia interpretationCertified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) or Certified Cardiac Technician (CCT)PREFERREDAssociates Degree in healthcare related field of study1 year supervisory experience Graduate from an accredited CVT programNational certification in specialty area
