Responsibilities: Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specificationsMonitors Contractor progress against the project scheduleNegotiates the settlement of changes and claimsPrepares contract change ordersCoordinates outside agency support of the contractor schedule Monitors Contractor Quality Control efforts through daily inspectionsOversees and coordinates staff functionsAssigns inspectors tasksHolds weekly coordination meetings with contractorAssures maintenance of project records, files, and as-built dataPrepares and issues daily and weekly resident engineer's reportsCalculates and documents fields quantities for payment purposesMonitors and enforces Contractor Safety ProgramPerforms constructability review and provides comments on design packagesCoordinates the design, permits, and agreements with stakeholdersPerforms duties as the owner representative directed by the project manager or construction manager Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 10 years of experience in Construction Management on transit and transportation projects of at least $30 Million Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction projects Registered Professional Engineer, preferredAuthorized to work in the USA Rail experience a plus!
