Job Title: 1st Shift Welder Job Description Join a leading manufacturer specializing in military and commercial trailer production. With significant contracts secured through 2035, this role offers stability and growth opportunities. As a welder, you will fit parts to specification and perform MIG welding using weld symbols from the drawings. You will also conduct quality checks with various tools and use a grinder or sander to ensure weld quality. Responsibilities + Fit parts to specifications using provided prints. + Perform MIG welding utilizing weld symbols from the drawings. + Use jigs for part fitting when necessary. + Conduct quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. + Grind down welds using a grinder or sander. + Ensure all welds meet DOD quality standards. + Obtain certification prior to welding on parts. Essential Skills + 2+ years of MIG welding experience on mild steel. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Proficiency in reading weld symbols. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with TIG welding. + Experience working with aluminum. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a friendly environment located in a small town, with two buildings dedicated to different stages of production. The older building focuses on steel welding and is somewhat loud and darker, while the newer building is cleaner and used for assembly, painting, and TIG welding. Work hours are 6am-4pm Monday to Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clintonville, Wisconsin. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
