The Kimley-Horn Chicago Natural Gas team has been growing rapidly over the last 5 years, and is looking for a key staff member to help with the growth of the pipeline and station expertise of the team, to serve natural gas utilities, midstream companies and development clients.As a member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks, supervise team members, manage projects, and collaborate with team members. You will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions."¯Gas Distribution and Tranmission pipeline designMetering and Regulation Station DesignsHeater and odorizationControl design and integrationProject managementClient managementJurisdictional Permitting and Agency CoordinationAssist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedulesThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projectsYou will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors4+ years of relevant engineering design experienceProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 monthsCandidates should have experience within the Energy discipline including experiencewith design, permitting, and applicable software applicationsExperience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasksFamiliar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standardsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3DKowledge of CFR 49 part 192Knowledge of gas transmission systemsExpereince working with natural gas utilities and/or midstream companiesAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
