Offering an unmatched, 360-degree solution set for a collection of world-class owned venues and a client roster that includes the most influential, highest attended arenas, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions on the planet.Under direct supervision from the Operations Manager and/or Operations Supervisor, Facility Operations Technicians perform event set-up and tear down, custodial, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks as assigned. In the absence of the Operations Manager or Supervisor, the Facility Operations Technicians may receive instruction from the Director of Operation, General Manager, or the Manager on duty.This role will pay an hourly wage of $13.00-$15.00Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matchingThis position will remain open until October 17, 2025.Located in historic downtown Provo, Utah the Utah Valley Convention Center opened its doors in 2012 as the premiere meeting space in Utah County. The UVCC boasts the perfect blend of modern architecture, flexible meeting space, and breathtaking interior and exterior views of the nearby Wasatch Mountains. This combined with its functional floor plan makes it the perfect venue to host any event.JOB DUTIES: (including to but not limited to)Set up for events using folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, staging and draperyOperate buffer, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, forklifts and other various equipmentClimb stairs and lift 40 lbs. unaidedSafely use cleaning chemicals and communicate proper cleaning procedures to staffComprehend and communicate clear instructions for event sets upsBe able to recognize overall look and feel of the building, maintaining symmetry and cleanlinessBe able to greet guests with a smile and provide basic event, building and community informationPerform other duties as assignedHigh school diplomaAbility to work days, overnights, weekends and holidays as neededWork schedule will vary based on events bookedHandle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlinesMust have demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environmentTwo years’ experience in heavy public contactPossess superior interpersonal and communication skillsAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
