We learn from trees that life is always renewing itself and, from them, it is possible to create sustainable products and solutions for a better future.On October 1, 2024 Suzano purchased the Pine Bluff, AR paper mill and the Waynesville, NC extrusion facility from Pactiv Evergreen.The Pine Bluff Paper Mill is located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, less than an hour from Little Rock in scenic southeast Arkansas. It is the largest industrial employer in Jefferson County. Opened in 1958, Pine Bluff is home to the world's largest gable-top liquid packaging paperboard machine. In addition to producing paperboard for cartons, the facility also produces coated paper for magazines.Job Descrption:Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the plant.Perform emergency maintenance on failed equipment to ensure minimal equipment downtimeMaintain and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment & systemsApply all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, safety, environmental, and OEM standards.Improve operations productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, Successfully support daily activities, shutdowns, long-term planning and capital projects Support reliability initiatives such as lubrication, vibration and ultrasound predictive systemsPerform precision maintenance and repairs such as Cutting and welding of various materials such as pipe, plate, and structural, Laser alignment, Rigging, Bearing installation and removal, Coupling installation and removal, Belt and chain maintenanceComplete precision paperworkPhysical Requirements:Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects that weight at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.Standing and Walking: Must be able to withstand frequent standing or walking, sometimes for extended periods of time.Climbing and Bending: Must be able to perform tasks that involve ascending or descending ladders, stairs, or scaffolding, and performing bending, stooping, or kneeling actions.Repetitive Movements: Must be able to engage in repetitive motions, such as typing, grasping, or operating machinery and power tools.Mobility: Must be able to move between or within work areas, including navigating various surfaces and confined spaces.Exposure to Elements: Must be able to work in outdoor or indoor conditions with exposure to precipitation, wind, or varying temperatures.Required Qualifications:Two (2) years or more of experience as General Mechanic in an industrial environment ORA two (2) year degree or higher in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance and one (1) year experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance ORThree (3) years or more experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance (Millwright, Pipe Fitter, Welder, Machinist).Meets the physical and safety requirements of the job while working 12-hour shifts, including holidays, overtime, and weekends.Experience reading blueprints, Sketches and schematics.Knowledge of mechanical hazards/safety procedures and OSHA requirements.Experience diagnosing and repairing various mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, power & transmission systems, conveyors, etc.Good communication skills verbal & writtenAbility to work with othersAbility to work in hostile environments.Self-motivated with a sense of urgencyExperience with a Computerized Maintenance Management SystemHigh school diploma or GEDDesired Qualifications:Good computer skillsExperience with SAP, Computerized Maintenance Management SystemExperience working with Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians Hydraulics experiencePaper mill experiencePneumatics experience
