Overview: _The Safety & Security Manager contributes to the transportation safety management process and provides overall support and technical guidance as it pertains to operational safety. Coordinates through their management team and the Director of Safety & Compliance as well as other stakeholders in crafting strategies in building a culture of safety within the Transdev Autonomous Vehicle Division (TAS)._ _The Safety & Security Manager maintains oversight of facility and operational safety compliance requirements; provides requisite training for TAS employees ; coordinates accident/incident process; conducts audits and inspections of the transportation safety management process; works as a liaison between TAS Operations management and outside vendor staff._ Transdev is proud to offer: u2022 Competitive compensation package of minimum $87,360 u2013 maximum $99,840 Benefits include: u2022 Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks u2022 Sick days: 5 days u2022 Holidays: 6 days u2022 Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. Key Responsibilities: + _Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding transportation and workplace safety (OSHA);_ + _Liaison with outside vendors and stakeholders to assure operational safety compliance to prescribed TAS initiatives;;_ + _Assists with the incident management process including coordination of reporting, investigation, documentation, management and supervisor field training;_ + _Represents the TAS safety management team in cross functional facility and process inspections at client and TAS managed sites._ + _Liaison to training and operations staff for remediation activities (Collisions, RREs, Fatigue)_ + _Responsible for company and location safety initiatives, programs, campaigns, workplace signage and employee safety incentives to reduce workplace accidents;_ + _Implements fatigue program efforts with requisite TAS operations management_ + _Supports safety committee membership for each site and cultivates activity_ + _Owns quality assurance of all safety escalation chain of command processes and reporting._ + _Drives accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of the OPS Staff safety escalation processes, response, investigation, and reporting of the following, but not limited to, vehicle collisions, workplace incidents, physical security events, distracted driving, and fatigued driving._ + _Collaborates with TAS Compliance Team with follow up validation, and post incident research, and coordinate_ + _Audits TAS Safety digital files to maintain a clean working folder_ + _Ensure all active operators are trained on all safety policies and procedures;_ + _Conduct safety audits and inspections of the fleet, facility and operator workforce as needed;_ + _Capable of responding quickly to changing and potentially high-pressure environments;_ + _Provide concise, clear, and accurate verbal and written feedback regarding the vehicleu2019s operations;_ + _Ensure compliance with Transdevu2019s Autonomous Vehicle Division zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of alcohol or drugs by self-driving vehicle operators during a shift in coordination with the TAS Compliance Manager;_ + _Be on call to respond to critical incidents_ + _25% travel may be required_ + _All other duties as assigned_ _Required Education and Experience:_ + _Bachelor's Degree (preferred) and or experience in a related field like Transportation Safety Management, Security Management, Logistics or related field_ + _OSHA certifications a plus i.e._ _Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS or COSM)_ + _Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications a plus_ + _Meets driver requirements, including driving record and criminal history under applicable regulations and laws in the state(s) in which they will be working._ + _Minimum of 3 years of transportation management and/or safety/security management experience. Additional experience is preferred;_ + _First Responder and or Public Safety Experience a plus_ _Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):_ + _Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Hangouts, and Driver, including Sheets and Docs); and_ + _Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required)Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)._ + _Intermediate knowledge of logistics software;_ + _Working knowledge of performance management/monitoring systems;_ + _Working knowledge of federal and state safety laws, and OSHA standards;_ + _Ability to analyze and identify risk trends, problems and solutions;_ + _Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely using appropriate mediums (face-to-face or electronic communication), listen effectively, demonstrate understanding, and clarify meaning for others;_ + _Ability to analyze, define, diagnose, and resolve problems based on sound logic and rationale;_ + _Ability to develop, coach, and mentor others including the ability to provide development experiences, advise, and teach to prepare others for effective job performance;_ + _Ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team, including those holding opposing views and goals;_ + _Understand and apply meaningful operations and safety performance metrics;_ + _Ability to lead and influence;_ + _Capable of responding quickly to changing and potentially high-pressure environments;_ + _Develop and communicate informative presentations and strategies to gain understanding and consensus; and_ + _Posses working knowledge of OSHA standards and Transdev Safety Policies;_ + _Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals;_ + _Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays to support business needs;_ + _Ability to work in a fast-paced constantly evolving environment._ _Physical Requirements:_ + _Frequent standing, walking, sitting,_ + _Use hands, fingers; handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders._ + _Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl._ + _Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds._ + _Must use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus._ + _Most work is accomplished indoors and outdoors or well-ventilated facilities; and_ + _The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen._ _Pre-Employment Requirements:_ + _Must be 21 years old;_ + _All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
