JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description The Healthcare Data Analyst Intermediateworks within the Enterprise Analytics department on the QualityMeasurement team. This involves manipulating and transforming data thatsupports quality measurement reporting for annual HEDIS submissions,prospective provider reporting, internal quality improvementinitiatives, accreditation, regulatory requirements, and priorityprograms. This work will require communication and collaboration withinternal clinical staff, program managers, IT, and other analytics teamsas well as external provider partners and stakeholders. FunctionalDescription/Key Accountabilities Capture, develop, and document datadefinitions, business rules, and data quality requirements Interpretquality measurement specifications and relate to data needs Create andmanage /data tables to make data easily accessible Track/trend data toidentify potential gaps and future opportunities for additional datacapture. Document the data acquisition and manipulation processesConsistently perform data validation on databases and reports,troubleshoot any potential bugs, and update any needed documentation toreflect changes Produce accurate, complete, and timely informationDevelop data visualizations and reports in Excel and/or QlikSense andprepare documentation Provide routine data updates Complete dataanalyses upon request Conduct demonstrations and presentations forcustomers Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information systems,Healthcare Administration, or related quantitative discipline orequivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in health care qualityreporting and analysis Demonstrated experience conducting datavalidation and quality checks Fluency in Excel and querying languagesuch as SAS or SQL Curiosity and self-direction Excellent communicationskills Skills & Abilities: Ability to manage multiple projects andpriorities; comply with tight deadlines. Ability to manage relationshipsand work collaboratively to achieve solutions and goals Ability to adaptto ever-changing quality measurement application tools Ability toexplain health care quality measures and related processes in layman'sterms Strong written and verbal communication skills and listeningskills Creative problem solving and critical thinking abilitiesPreferred: Experience working with health care administrative data(medical claims, enrollment, provider data, etc.) Knowledge of Epic EHRsystems and reporting features, specifically Epic Payer Platform.Knowledge of the health care industry including but not limited to HEDISproduction, health care products, payment systems, operations, policiesand procedures Good understanding of statistics This position is ahub-based role which requires onsite presence.
