JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description JOB OBJECTIVE: This position is meantas a learning opportunity for an individual who is in the process ofobtaining a degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering. This personwill be able to obtain hands on work experience by providing technicalsupport to engineering as well as by assisting in the building andtesting of prototype products. This Co-op will last roughly 8 months.It will start either in January 2026 or May 2026. There is someflexibility regarding start and end dates. CORE DUTIES: 1. Write andexecute equipment testing documents for new mechanical systems. 2.Create and fabricate test fixtures. 3. Create engineering drawings underthe supervision of hardware engineer. 4. Build prototypes, create billsof materials work with production on assembly instructions. 5.Demonstrates inclusion through their own words and actions and isaccountable for a safe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity andrespect for others. 6. Embracing and being open to incorporatingPromega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles indaily work. 7. Understands and complies with ethical, legal andregulatory requirements applicable to our business. KEYQUALIFICATIONS: 1. At least 1 year of instruction towards a BS inEngineering. 2. Eager to contribute and learn. 3. Excellentorganization, communication, and presentation skills. 4. Drivenindividual with a track record of being a self-starter. 5. Ability tohandle both multiple and changing priorities. 6. Some CAD (preferredAutoCad) training. 7. Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e.,Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Previous workexperience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Ability to observe and inspect equipmentand operations for proper operation and compliance to safety andhousekeeping standards. 2. Ability to work in a production environmentaround automated equipment. 3. Ability to work in an office environmentutilizing a computer workstation. 4. Ability to work in a labenvironment with chemical, biological and packaging materials. 5.Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time. 6. Ability toposition oneself in low positions. 7. Ability to move objects up to 20pounds. 8. Ability to transport items between buildings.
