Village Veterinary Hospital in Johnston, IA,is seeking an experienced and passionate management professional to join our leadership team asHospital Manager.We are a full-service animal hospital dedicated to providing quality veterinary care for companion animals—and building lasting relationships with the clients and pets we serve.About the RoleAs our Hospital Manager, you’ll partner with the Chief of Staff to provide leadership and direction for the operational needs of the practice. With a strong focus on fostering a positive culture, delivering exceptional client service, and ensuring financial health, you’ll help guide our hospital and team to success.This dual role will be a 50/50 split between Hospital Manager responsibilities and Veterinary Technician duties.Your role will involve balancing management responsibilities with some time on the floor, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and an outstanding experience for both clients and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesVeterinary Technician Support:Assistin exams, procedures, and treatments to ensure excellent care for our patientsOperational Excellence:Performand oversee operational procedures, driving positive outcomes with an emphasis on service, efficiency, and safetyPractice Growth:Develop and implement goals to support the success of the practice—maintaining our positive reputation, financial strength, and high standards of careTeam Leadership:Recruit, mentor, and retain practice staff (our full-time team has been with us for 6+ years!), creating a culture of collaboration, kindness, and continuous learningStaff Development:Provide training and coaching to support team members’ growth and ensure excellent performanceClient Service:Uphold the highest standards of customer service, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalismCommunity Connection:Partner with the Chief of Staff to drive community involvement and foster meaningful relationshipsQualificationsVeterinary experience required; licensed veterinary technician (LVT) preferredStrong time management skills with the ability to balance management duties and hands-on supportExceptional interpersonal and leadership abilitiesFlexibility to work a varied schedule, including occasional Saturday shiftsWhy You’ll Love Working HereAt Village Veterinary Hospital, our team is like family—and we treat our clients and their pets the same way.
