Job Description

Assemble electronic or mechanical products from blueprints using assembly fixtures and power bench tools. Cut & crimp wires, form, connect and perform simple soldering in accordance with instructions. Fit and align fine electronic assemblies, recognize defective parts, inspect and test final assemblies on a variety of assembly operationsExperience with Kanban Inventory processCount and record parts from inventory with accuracy using basic math skills Communicate shortages, scrap and delays when applicableRead caliper, tape measure and interpret work instructions Identify the correct colored wire(s) per work instructionsOperate small hand and power tools Perform cuts, crimps, connections and solderingUse computer software to locate and print assembly drawingsIdentify and obtain accurate assembly fixtures as called by Work OrderAssemble products to Work Order specificationsPerform assembly tasks to meet daily production standards of quality and quantityPackage product for shipmentEducation and Experience: High school or general education (GED) preferred Computer experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) required2 years mechanical or electrical assembly preferredSkills and Abilities: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Complete standardized written documentation and correspondence. Professionally communicate in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to perform basic electronic tasks using computer software and Microsoft Office. Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Environment is a modern production facility with heat and air conditioningAbility to use fine motor skills (hand and fingers) to routinely manipulate assemblies, hand and power tools, wires, fixtures, and partsThe job requires the operation of material handling equipment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is generally required to stand; bend, kneel, twist, reach overhead routinely to retrieve inventory or pack shipmentsRequired to maneuver routinely Ability to lift up to 30 pounds routinely Ability to lift 31 pounds to 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to lift over 50 pounds with assistance occasionallyAbility to lift up to 25 pounds over shoulders occasionally Ability to lift over 25 pounds over shoulders rarelyAbility to push/pull up to 25 pounds regularlyAbility to push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionallyRequired to climb a ladder regularly Required to safely ride product up to 14 feet in the air while performing product testing
