Psychologist - Independent Contractor - Suitability Law Enforcement Albany, NY ( Apply Job Type Contract Description Position Summary: Valor Healthcare is looking for licensed psychologists conduct in-person psychological evaluations of candidates for the Forest Ranger program to support the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), Office of Public Protection (OPP). This is a short term contract position working as a 1099 independent contractor. Responsibilities: u2022 Must have excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate sound clinical judgment into clear and appropriate recommendations for initial or continued employment. u2022 Complete and submit all required documentation expeditiously and accurately in the required format. u2022 Provide in-person evaluations. u2022 Provide exceptional customer service. Requirements Qualifications: u2022 PsyD or PhD from an accredited doctoral program. u2022 Must have a valid and unrestricted NY state license. u2022 Must have at least three (3) years of prior experience in assessing the suitability of candidates for employment as police officers/law enforcement. u2022 Experienced in one or more Electronic Health Records u2022 Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) u2022 Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States. $175 - $200 per evaluation 1099 contractor This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
