Fire Sprinkler Welder - entry to mid-level experience

Position Summary Work with various welding machines and equipment as a part of a welding assembly line. Operate welding equipment for end prep of pipe using techniques such as Stick, Mig, Wire, Air Arc, Trackwork, and Plasma Experience Level Primary Responsibilities and Duties u2022 Operates, preps, and sets various welding machines which includes Robot, NAP, and Cypress. u2022 Works on will-call orders to layout specifications u2022 Handles pipes and materials weighing up to 50 lbs; at times lifting repetitively and/or shuffling materials down an assembly line onto a layout table, welding stand, or cart/dolly u2022 Performs air pressure test and visual inspections on welded piping to assure quality products u2022 Uses basic reading and writing skills to interpret layout plans and labels u2022 Works in a warehouse environment in hot and cold weather conditions, and with exposure to sparks and glares Qualifications u2022May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. u2022Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position and at least 1 year of basic welding experience u2022Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. u2022Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently. Requirements u2022Able to meet all physical requirements. u2022Must have all required tools u2022Able to work outdoors/inside of a warehouse in all weather conditions and be exposed to sparks and glares u2022Able to work overtime and weekends as required by the workload u2022Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
