Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively seeking a Senior Accountant for a position in Gainesville, TX with an established company. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of full cycle accounting including month end close and preparing financial statements.This is a great opportunity with great work life balance. This position pays 80K-90K+Bonus.Responsibilities: Record daily cash transactions, including deposits and internal cash movements. Prepare and distribute monthly billing statements to appropriate recipients. Perform the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statements. Reconcile monthly cash accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Provide explanations for variances between actual results and budgeted figures. Assist in the development and preparation of the annual operating budget. Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation as needed. Assist with year-end reporting and schedule preparation for external tax firms. Review and assist in the preparation of annual 1099 filings. Complete administrative tasks as needed to support finance and accounting operations. Participate in special projects and ad hoc assignments as requested by management.
