By supporting their self-directed goals with compassion and best practices, Beacon provides the highest level of support — not only meeting their needs, but helping people live their fullest lives.General Statement of DutiesThe Team Lead works along-side the Residential Manager to develop, implement, and coordinate supports that address the needs and interests of consumers and assist them in safely reaching their personal goals for skill development and community integration.Essential Job FunctionsProvides direct care when needed to ensure that consumers get to medical appointments, programs and activities and receive daily care as intended.Schedules medical appointments for consumers and accompanies them; ensures emergency care is received as needed.Conducts regular consumer meetings.Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needsAssist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and groomingImplement behavior management strategies and provide emotional supportAssist with meal planning, preparation, and feedingSupport individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outingsDocument individual progress and report any concerns or incidents to the supervisorRoutinely meets with supervisor and participates in management meetings and activitiesRequired Skills & Qualifications:Minimum High School Diploma/GEDExperience working with individuals with autism, hospice care, or senior care is a plus1-year experience working with developmentally disabled individualsComputer literacy using Microsoft Word; familiarity with an electronic health record system preferredKnowledge of behavior management techniques and strategiesAbility to lift and transfer individuals as neededStrong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and other team membersUnderstanding of resident rights and ability to advocate for individual needsMust be 21 years of age or olderTwo (2) years experience working with persons with physical and/or developmental disabilities; 1 year experience as supervisorAbility to understand and implement individualized supports#NJ123USD $23.95 - USD $23.95 /Hr.Sun: 3 PM - 11 PM | Mon: 3 PM - 11 PM | Tues: 3 PM - 11 PM | Wed: 3 PM - 11 PM | Thurs: 3 PM - 11 PMJackson
