Under the supervision of a pharmacist, technicians are accountable for:preparing and dispensing prescribed medications for patientsperforming compounding of intravenous medicationsassisting in managing inventoryperforming charging and crediting functions for medications associated with drug distribution processesperforming routine clerical/administrative tasksHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required6 months compounding of IV medicationRegistered Pharmacy Tech in the state in which the employee works, PHARMTECH:TXActive CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing in the state in which the employee works
