Electronic Billing ClerkCommunity Memorial HospitalFull-Time; 40 hours per week; M-F between 7-5:30PThe Electronic Insurance Billing Clerk is responsible for charging, billing, and working edits of an assigned section of patient accounts and to research and resubmit problem claims in a timely manner. Other responsibilities include reading all documentation regarding billing guidelines, adjusting patient charges and other duties as assigned by the Revenue Cycle Lead.At UnityPoint Health, you matter. Understanding the concepts, principles and practices of the revenue cycle. Exhibit progressive thinking towards the electronic medical recordAdapt easily to change in job duties and work environmentStrong knowledge of Microsoft office softwareAbility to convey positive image and communication tactfully and professionally with staff, patients and the publicAbility to articulate hospital policy and regulationsAbility to work with diverse groups of peopleAbility to prioritize and meet deadlinesPreferred:Hospital billing experience preferredICD-10 coding experience preferred
