Together, we are making a difference, one life at a time.Your Mission in ActionThe Clinician is responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy to Unaccompanied Children (UC), conducting assessments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans. They ensure clinical care aligns with agency policies, licensing standards, and regulatory requirements, serving children from newborn to 17 years old. The Clinician works closely with the team to conduct utilization reviews and address the therapeutic needs of UC. Upholding the program’s core values of Warriors, Servants, and Family, the Clinician helps break the cycle of child abuse and empowers others through example and dedication.Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments at intake, throughout treatment, and at discharge to ensure treatment plans meet established goals and objectives for each child; facilitate ongoing individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address the emotional, mental, and social well-being of each childConduct comprehensive psychological assessments at intake, throughout treatment, and at discharge to ensure treatment plans meet established goals and objectives for each child; will document all assessments, interventions, and referrals accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policiesMaintain proactive engagement with ongoing learning and professional development towards accountability and responsibility to stay informed on the latest trends, research, and legislative changes related to human trafficking, abuse, and trauma-informed careEnsure that practices remain current, evidence-based, and effective in addressing the needs of survivorsResponsible for identifying and assessing potential cases of human trafficking, abuse, and trauma in individualsEnsure a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, with an emphasis on ensuring safety, privacy, and empowerment for individuals, while adhering to all policy, legal, code of conduct and ethical standardsCollaborate with law enforcement, social services, and healthcare providers to support victims and survivors in their recovery processFacilitate ongoing individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address the emotional, mental, and social well- being of a childMaintain and update the child’s case files with treatment plans, progress, behavior issues, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with agency and regulatory standards; prepare and submit timely progress reports, treatment plans, and detailed reports to the Division of Unaccompanied Children’s Services (DUCS) as requiredEnsure strict adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations, always maintaining confidentiality; coordinate discharge and placement services, ensuring smooth transitions and proper follow-up care for each child, while complying with regulatory standardsCollaboratively establish treatment goals and plans for children using advanced counseling skills, evidence-based practices, and assessments, while providing ongoing progress updates to the Clinical Director and clinical team; build strong working relationships with the clinical staff, multidisciplinary teams, and external partners, ensuring high-quality services and program goals are met, while also providing emergency crisis intervention and on-call support when necessaryProvide individual and crisis intervention and will meet with children in the foster home setting as needed to assess a minor’s immediate mental health needsMinimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in social work with clinical experience in the program, or master’s degree in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which direct clinical experience is a program requirement, or a bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years clinical employment experienceMust be licensed or eligible for licensureBilingual in English and Spanish (based on service area and service population)Must be 21 years of age or older per licensing requirementsAbility to establish rapport, trust, and boundaries with children, UC, parents, and familiesStrong people and interpersonal skills with the ability to always interact with diverse groups of people in a professional mannerExcellent verbal and written communication skills;
