A Meat/Seafood Team Leader’s responsibilities include:Leading, training, coaching, and communicating with all Team Members in their department.Cuts and trims meat to company standards for retail saleDaily customer interactionsSharing food knowledge with customers and Team MembersOverseeing Food Safety, Safety, and SanitationDay to day operations, merchandising, and quality control of all department offeringsDriving department sales while managing department shrink and expensesManaging department labor and productivityDeveloping future leadersDesired qualifications include:Friendly and customer service oriented. Interest in food and cooking a plus.Must display exceptional leadership skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.3 Years of experience in retail meat industryPrevious leadership experience desiredSelf-motivated, with a high attention to detail, quality and presentationSkills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customersAbility to work independently, effectively manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environmentAbility to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written directionsAbility to reliably meet required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policyEmployees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period: Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, BendingMust be 18 years of ageFor Internal Transfers/Promotion Candidates: No disciplinary action during the past 6 months Your current leader must recommend that you apply for this position and provide an endorsement upon request from HR.
