Job Description

This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment to ensure reliable operation and safety on the production shop floor. The position involves performing regular, preventative, and predictive maintenance tasks, as well as light fabrication of miscellaneous items such as holding fixtures, brackets, and material handling devices. Routine repairs may include basic painting, simple carpentry, plumbing, and general facility maintenance. The individual receives and schedules their own work orders, effectively prioritizes and multitasks assignments, and strictly follows standard safety procedures while promptly reporting any hazards to supervisors.Additionally, the role includes troubleshooting, program editing, and repairing PLC controls and communications systems, as well as addressing issues with Vision Inspection Systems and DC Torque Control Systems. The technician collaborates with the Production IT department to support smooth system performance and enhancements, installs and maintains secondary high and low voltage electrical systems, and assists with mechanical installations as directed. Flexibility to work overtime during emergencies or advantageous off-hours is required, and other duties may be assigned as neededPiston Automotivewasn’t just founded to make things.
