We are seeking a dedicated In-School Tutor to work onsite with students, helping them bridge learning gaps, build confidence, and reach their full potential.As an essential part of the academic support team, you’ll work closely with students in need of targeted instruction in core subjects like reading, writing, and math. Whether you're clarifying classroom concepts, re-teaching key skills, or celebrating hard-earned progress, your role will have a direct impact on student achievement.Work EnvironmentThis is an onsite position working weekdays during school hours at the assigned elementary school within Tangipahoa ParishWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly compensation: $25Paid trainingTutor Tool Kit with all necessary materialsCareer advancementFlexible hoursProvide competent and effective educational support for assigned students and subject matterMust be confident and capable of communicating and teaching assigned subject-matter on the spotPrepare for each instructional session; gather and prepare materials as appropriate including review and understanding of individual student requirementsDevelop relationships and take a vested interest in each student such that the student feels comfortable and the tutor is informed on the learning needs and progress of each studentComply with all Studyville objectives, guidelines and procedures regarding student interactions, dress code, and communication expectationsMaintain daily student records including evaluation and tracking of progressBe positive, enthusiastic, and encouraging through all student interactionRequired Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate with studentsTutoring/teaching experience in K-5 Literacy/ELAReliable transportation to tutor on-site at schools throughout the Tangipahoa DistrictCan pass a Background check and fingerprintsBachelor's Degree preferredAvailability:THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION THAT TAKES PLACE IN SCHOOLS DURING THE DAYMust have daytime availability M-FShifts can range from 3 to 8 hours (depending on the assigned school), a minimum of 3 days a week is required at each school (9 hours/week minimum, increased hours if working at more than one school).Possibility to stack tutoring at more than one school for additional hours.Studyville LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.'
