Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is 'On-Site' at the location detailed in the job post.DescriptionWeyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for a Shipping Lead for our Idabel, Oklahoma Lumber facility. , We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. , As the Shipping Lead, you are a role model for our safety standards and effortlessly demonstrate your sound characteristics of integrity, honesty and caring leadership. Reporting to the Dry End Superintendent, you are responsible for developing and leading team meetings and trainings, identifying safety, quality and production issues, coordinating shipping activities, and taking measures to proactively address concerns. Additionally, as the Shipping Supervisor you lead the team by proactively resolving employee issues, incorporating teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.Key Functions:Plan, develop, manage, and provide effective leadership for the Shipping team.Raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching, development and instilling a continuous improvement mind-set.Ensure the safety of all associates and outside vendors by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns.Effectively communicate and coordinate with maintenance to ensure all equipment is in good running order to assure consistent shipping of product.Build strong relationships with sales team, transportation team and customers, showcasing your ability to coordinate and communicate.Accurately record and analyze daily shipping reports for quality and optimization, and inventory control of finished products.Proactively resolve employee issues, build teamwork, and ensure adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
