Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist - Gastroenterology 100% InpatientLocation: Gastropark Ridge, IllinoisOrganization: Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical GroupHospital: Resurrection Medical CenterJob Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Gastroenterology (GI) team at Gastropark Ridge. The ideal candidate will support our board-certified gastroenterologists in providing high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide range of digestive health conditions. This role is 100% inpatient.Location:Gastropark Ridge offers a welcoming environment with modern facilities, convenient access to major highways, and a diverse patient population.• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories on GI patients in the hospital• Call responsibility involved- to be discussed during interview• Order and interpret diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal conditions.• Manage chronic GI disorders such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and more.• Collaborate closely with GI physicians in outpatient and inpatient settings.• Perform follow-up care and education for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.• Provide pre- and post-procedural counseling and medication management.• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system.• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois.• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP.• Minimum of 1-2 years of NP experience, preferably in a GI or internal medicine setting.• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills.• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.The company is dedicated to empowering its staff with acomprehensive, competitive benefits package,allowing them the freedom to customize their benefits to fit their unique needs.
