Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust Creative Designer Marketing CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt REPORTS TO: Chief Experience Officer JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective This position supports the hands-on planning and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns. Responsibilities include applying an established brand system to design and deliver print-ready visual assets across a wide range of formats, including physical, print, and environmental, with a strong focus on end-to-end execution. Collaborates with the marketing team to plan, coordinate, and bring campaigns to life through high-quality, on-brand physical, print, and other deliverables. Designs and produces assets using Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring they meet production specifications for print, large-format, environmental, and other graphics as needed. Supports the customer service recognition program, Service Beyond Expectations Begins with Me, including the nomination and review process. Assists in the execution of the company's internal and external marketing and public relations campaigns, events, and projects. Serves as a point of contact and assists in coordinating internal and external community initiatives such as the Volunteer Time Off Program, Financial Literacy initiatives, and other community involvement efforts. Other Duties Helps deliver on the brand promise of Service Beyond Expectations through reliable production and delivery of marketing assets. Reviews and prepares marketing materials (flyers, brochures, signage, etc.) for accuracy and print readiness. Updated on bank compliance rules and regulations and works along with internal compliance to ensure materials are compliant. Serves as a point of contact with external vendors, installers, and printers to ensure quality, accurate specifications, and timely delivery. Supports on-site installations, material packing, and campaign/promotional logistics as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Skills/Abilities Strong production mindset with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines. Hands-on experience with physical and environmental graphics, including layout, materials, and installation coordination, is preferred. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop - ability to prep and package files for professional output is essential; proficiency is strongly preferred. Detail-oriented with an eye for quality control and visual consistency. Excellent communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external partners. Organized and dependable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital file management is required. Ability to quickly learn internal platforms and tools for project tracking and documentation. Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer. Physical Demands This position requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift files and open cabinets. The role may involve lifting or manipulating print or physical campaign materials. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Occasional bending, stooping, or standing may be required. Travel Limited local travel may be required for this position. Education and Experience At least 13 years of experience in graphic and print design is required, preferably in a marketing department. High school diploma or equivalent required.
