Director of Retail Brand Marketing & Public RelationsPosition Overview:Brilliant Earth is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee both our retail brand marketing and public relations initiatives. This role will be responsible for bringing the Brilliant Earth brand to life across our approximately 40 showroom locations throughout the United States while simultaneously advancing our mission and promoting our brand values through strategic media relations and external communications. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience as a strategic marketing and PR leader who has conceived, executed, and maintained elevated brand experiences for premium consumer brands, with a strong focus on both physical retail environments and broader brand storytelling.Key Responsibilities:Retail Brand Strategy & Experience:Develop and articulate a comprehensive retail brand marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectivesLead the integration of brand marketing initiatives across physical showrooms, e-commerce, and emerging channelsServe as a critical team member in the development of new showrooms, ensuring the brand experience is seamlessly integrated into design and customer journeyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize store design, layout, visual merchandising, and overall consumer experiencePublic Relations & External Communications:Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to build brand awareness and support Brilliant Earth's missionCultivate and manage relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and editors to secure strategic coverageOversee the management of PR agencies, including weekly calls, reporting, editor product sends, and celebrity/influencer giftingCollaborate on the planning and execution of events, including product launches, showroom openings, and special promotionsBrand Leadership:Partner with senior leadership to define and communicate brand positioning that resonates with target audiencesDevelop and maintain consistent, compelling brand messaging across all consumer touchpointsOversee the development of integrated marketing campaigns that drive traffic, sales, and brand affinityCreate engaging PR materials, press releases, and content that support both retail and PR initiativesOperational Management:Develop and manage budgets for both retail marketing and PR, ensuring optimal allocation of resourcesMonitor campaign performance, measure key indicators, and provide insights for continuous improvementFoster a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability within the marketing departmentLead and mentor team members, providing guidance and development opportunitiesQualifications:10+ years of experience in brand marketing and public relations, with significant experience in a D2C retail environmentProven track record of developing and leading retail brand executions at scaleEstablished media relationships and successful PR campaign historyExperience working with premium or luxury brands in an omnichannel environmentExceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication abilitiesRobust leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teamsAbility to effectively balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to respect and inclusion in the workplacePassion for sustainability, ethics, and social responsibilityBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; advanced degree is a plus More About Us:At
