Elevator Operator I- LA - VG

Primary responsibility is the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.Assists in all areas of theloading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck and barge,and inspects before loading.Proficient in all facets of Viserion's safety programs and culture, has a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations, demonstrates safe working practices, has the ability to perform JHA’s and recognize near misses Perform housekeeping and cleaning dutiesAbility to perform barge and rail draft calculations.Ability to oversee maintenance projects, has a strong understanding of all facets of maintenance for the facility and is an equipment expert.Ability to accurately perform inventory management.High School Diploma or GED equivalent desiredAssociates, Technical or Mechanical Degree desired5+ years of experienceWelding and light fabrication preferredPLC experience preferredAgriculture and/or grain elevator experience preferred
