Provide TeleHospitalist coverage at multiple UnityPoint hospitalsPosition is employed with UnityPoint ClinicFlexibility with schedule including nights, weekends, and Holidays12, 12-hour shifts/monthSelf-schedulinResponse time within 30 minutesUtilize Vidyo TelehealthFully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordinationEvaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient carePatient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skillsManaging cross coverage & low acuity admissions (as needed) on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on the number of beds covered.Cross cover needs, include but not limited to entering orders, calling nurses, staff, patients, or families. Helping with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, transfer to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed.Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc.MD or DOBoard Certified in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineRequires 1 year of bedside clinical experience as a HospitalistAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in your state of residency, AND IA, IL and WIHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practiceCredentialed at all UPH hospitals staffed by a TeleHospitalist Unemployable states: NY, CA, OR, VT, WA, DCWe offerShift based compensation with RVU production and performance incentive A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in.
