The Lathe Production Assistant will be responsible for assisting the maintenance and changover of the Lathe machines to ensure the quality of the product. This role is located in Roseville, Michigan and will be fully on-site.Starting Pay: $19.00Schedule: 7am - 3:30pmPay Schedule: Bi-weeklyLathe Production Assistant Responsibilities:Maintaining machines (Coolants/Oil Levels/Cleaning out between jobs)Change out part-bins when fullInspect parts in production on a 60-120 minute basisAssist Production Supervisor with machine changeovers including tooling changes and setupsManage all scrap produced on machines (keep separated and organized)Load materials on machines for production runsSome light finishing operations (drilling/deburring)Keep Lathe department a clean and organized work environmentOther duties as assignedLathe Production Assistant Qualifications:High School Diploma or FED or equivalent work experienceExperience machining or a technical tradeDesire to learn new skills and abilitiees due to production and deadlineAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to perform computationsAbility to work with minimum supervision to meet customer delivery requirementsAbility to organize and make work-related decisions based on deadlines and customer specificationsForklift/Reach experience and abilityAbility to obtain a forklift license if neededOccasional lifting and carrying not to exceed 40lbs.Manual dexterity and repetitive movement of fingers and handsJoining Wieland’s team gives you…Benefits - Including Medical, Disability, Life & more!Work/Life Balance- Paid Vacation & Holidays.Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
